From sun up to sun down, Ruth worked hard for the barley. She went out in obedience expecting just enough, but came back with abundance. So often we lift up our cup and ask for the Lord’s blessings, when the true blessings He wants to bestow on us will never fit in that tiny cup. When we crave the ephah of blessing, we have to be willing to put in the ephah of work.
